What are the government measures to reduce greenhouse
gases? In 2002 President Bush actually began taking some steps towards
the goal of reducing the greenhouse gases by 18%, these things take
time. The hope was to meet this goal by the year 2012 and so far we are
right on track to meet this goal. But it's not enough, which is why
there are additional measures that are being put into action and the
new goal is to reduce these greenhouse gas emissions to 80 percent by
the year 2050. The government measures to reduce greenhouse gases was
issued by a group called G-8. The goal to reduce these emissions is a
great one, and this is not going to come with some sacrifices in many
areas. Let's face it everything that we do, from building cars to
driving them on a daily basis creates greenhouse gases. They have yet
to state how this goal is going to be met and what sacrifices will need
to be made, but if you are anything like me you are probably saying
it's about time.
