What are Greenhouse Gases? |
|
|
Have you ever considered what greenhouse gases are? They are the gases in the atmosphere that provide the warmth for the planet. They do this by absorbing and emitting atmospheric radiation. Without them the earth would be entirely to cold for human life as we know it. They are responsible for roughly fifty five degrees of the earths temperature. These gases are presently being looked at by the scientific community. They are looking at them as a source to support their claims of global warming. These gases are broken down into two categories. There are natural greenhouse gases and anthropogenic gases. The anthropogenic gases are said to be caused by human deforestation and burning of carbon fuels. They are also caused by very normal activities like breathing and animal body emissions. Water Vapor is said to account for the largest amount of greenhouse gases emitted into the atmosphere. It is written that water vapor accounts for as much as sixty percent of the gases. That is a very important statement considering our planet is comprised of a great deal of water. Science is very aware that greenhouse gases can be removed from the atmosphere naturally and are presently positioned to utilize some of these natural techniques. One of these techniques is chemical reaction, another is exchange between the atmosphere and other parts of the planets operations. Greenhouse gases are extremely important to the relationship of the earth so it is good that we study the information surrounding them and how they affect the planet. My fear is that by blaming the activity of humanity for the sudden rise in greenhouse gases does not take into consideration the relationship of the galaxy that we know very little about or the fact that the earth has been warming since the last ice age. It could all be a very natural process that man has absolutely no control over. It could also mean that all we do to change this relationship between humans and greenhouse gasses will not change anything.
