Alcoholic drinks and greenhouse gases is a real concern. There have been studies that were funded by the government to find out just how much greenhouse gases is produced to make alcoholic drinks. They found that there is a large number of greenhouse gases being produced during the growing and processing. It makes sense since farming is one of the largest contributors of these gases into the air. 1.5% of the nation's greenhouse gases are due to producing alcoholic drinks. They process crops such as hops and malts that are used in beer and whisky. While the amount of this isn't that high it's still playing a large part in global warming. Alcoholic drinks and greenhouse gases is a concern, and I am not saying that you should stop drinking all together, but there are many drinks that you can have rather than the one's that are adding to this major problem. There is no doubt in my mind that people need to adapt to the fact that we all need to change many of our habits if we want to reduce the amounts of greenhouse gases that we are producing. It's not going to be a difficult thing as there are a ton of small things that will make a huge difference. Instead of buying wood for building material that is from a tree in the forest choose to buy recycled building material. 38% of the greenhouse gases are from home; of course the building material is only a portion of that percentage. We produce carbon dioxide from the heating system, the cooling system, and many appliances as well. Alcoholic drinks and greenhouse gases are just one of the problems that we need to deal with, and would life be so bad without some of the things that we know are adding greatly to the overall problem. No not really, some how we will deal with it. After all we have conquered worse problems than having to drink a different type of alcoholic drink. We need to face the facts, and understand that this is all for the great good of the entire worlds. Lives are at stake, and things are progressively getting worse for all of us in various ways. Do you really want your grandchildren to deal with far worse things than we are facing? I know that I don't, and I don't believe that many of us do, so let's take the initiative and do the things that we need to do. Look online and you will find everything that you need to know about reducing the emissions of greenhouse gases in your home, and your life. |
