Let's face it; there really isn't any reason why the temperature in your home needs to be 30 degrees less than what it is outside. This leads to a few other problems, such as getting sick from going into drastic heat differences, and also paying a large amount of money each month on the cost of running your AC. Carbon dioxide is filling the atmosphere, and causing the earth to warm, and the affects of this is damaging to every aspect of living creatures on the earth. The term greenhouse effect is used because our earth is like a green house, only the glass top that covers a greenhouse to keep the heat from escaping is an ozone layer. You can see satellite images of the earth that have a ring of gases around it. This is a scary sight, and not to mention the potential horror that will come as the heat continues to rise. The lower you set it too the more often it will be used, and the more gases are released into the ozone, which aids in the warming of the earth. This is just one of many things that we all need to begin doing to do our part. The high levels of carbon dioxide in the air are higher than oxygen, and we all know that oxygen is something that we need to survive on earth.
