Harmful greenhouse gases Print E-mail
Harmful greenhouse gases
are greatly affecting the world. They are bombarding our atmosphere and
causing a thickened cloud of gas to form and it is holding in the heat
that would rise out into outer space. Global warming is not a theory
it's the facts and you can see the effects that it has already begun to
have on the earth with only a single degree rise in temperature. Our
futures don't look too promising for us.
There are many global warming skeptics, and that's okay but if you
check the charts and see the changes in many areas around the world
there truly is no real way to deny it. There are certain area's that
are being much more affected than others, but can you deny the longer
summers with many stretches of heat waves, can you ignore the fact that
winters seem to be much shorter and the usual winter storms seem to be
far and few in between. I am not saying that it's not cold during
winter but they are no where's near what they used to be, and the
reason is the harmful greenhouse gases that continues to keep the heat
trapped. We are basically living in a greenhouse. You know how it feels
when you go into a greenhouse, the heat difference is significant. This
doesn't mean that it is burning hot, but these greenhouses that are
used to grow plants can also be regulated, unlike the one that we are
living in.
The more harmful greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide and methane
gases that we pump into the air the more damage we are doing. We
produce these gases from just about everything that we do, virtually
all human activities somehow release harmful greenhouse gases starting
with the cars that we drive to the products we use to built house with
and the heat that we heat them with. So do we stop everything that we
are doing? That's just not logical, what we need to do is start
conserving. Why not build homes of recycled materials, there is even a
commercial about the first green home that was built and you have a
chance to win it. These are simple things that just make sense to
reduce the gases.
Stopping the harmful gases alone is not going to end the dangers that
we are faced with. The earth is heating up and there is nothing that we
can do to stop it from happening, but help to reduce the speed at which
it is happening at.
